Holly’s Texas Red Chili

  • 2 lb. ground chuck
  • 2 onions, diced
  • 4 cloves garlic, sliced thin
  • 2 28 oz. cans diced tomatoes
  • 2 cups beef stock
  • 4 TB Holly’s Texas Red Chili Powder (Available at Holly’s)
  • 4 TB cumin
  • 3 TB granulated garlic
  • 2 TB granulated onion
  • 1 TB paprika
  • 1 TB oregano
  • 2 TB black pepper
  • 2 TB salt
  • Pinch cayenne
  • 3 TB masa flour

Brown meat and drain. Sweat onion and add garlic at end. Add beef, tomatoes and rest of ingredients except masa flour. Simmer 45 minutes to 1 hour. Taste and adjust seasonings as necessary. Add masa flour and simmer 5 more mins.
